The Columbus Lion's Pancake Breakfasts

Columbus Lions Pancake Breakfasts are a great place to get a terrific breakfast, chat with old friends and meet new ones.

We would like to thank all persons that helped us with the many duties involved with our April 15th Pancake Breakfast. Two members from Columbus Girl Scout Troop 53733 and Girl Scout troop 52586 did an awesome job helping with cleaning and bussing tables. This breakfast benefitted the Columbus Senior Center and we also had a lot of help from many of the Seniors that volunteered to help. Thank You All!

Our next 2012 Columbus Lion's Pancake Breakfast will be held on May 20th, 2012. This breakfast will benefit the Forest Lake Area Youth Service Bureau.

Our breakfast prices are: Adults $4.50, Children 5-12 $3.00, Families up to 6 $14.00. Columbus Lion's Pancake Breakfasts are at the Columbus Senior Center from 8am to 1pm on the posted dates.   

Columbus Fall Fest is Fast Approaching in September

Columbus Fall Fest will be on September 22nd, 2012. This is a terrific event where the city gets together to celebrate. Our Lions garage sale is a fundraiser that helps us to be able to help our community with the funds raised from all the "treasures'" we have for sale. If you are doing your spring cleaning and would like to donate any of your treasures to the Columbus Lions Club, please contact Bill Monson at 651-464-8804 and we can set up a time for us to pick up your donation.  

If you haven't been to Fall-Fest before, please try to make it this year. There are many things for all to enjoy. Fire House tours, Senior Center crafts and Chili Feed, Roast beef Lunches served by our Lions Club, a Fun Run for all ages starting at Columbus Elementary, an Antique car and tractor show, many fun games for the kids, the Sheriffs Department will be there with a canine officer demonstration, We also have a drawing with a lot of prizes donated by local businesses and many more things to come see and do.There will be more information about Fall-Fest here soon, so please check back.

Columbus Arbor Day was a sucess!

Columbus Arbor Day is a great place to get aquainted with many of the tree species that grow well in this area. There were 70 free trees given to Columbus residents by drawing as well as another drawing for larger trees and other useful outdoor tools and items. Columbus Arbor Day was Saturday May 5th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Much information from the Columbus City Forrester was given at this event. There were fun arts and crafts for the kids. Our special guest was a Master Gardener.
